We need the help of Cornell’s alumni and friends in communicating how proposed legislation would impact Cornell and other institutions of higher education. Please join our Legislative Advocacy Network and contact your elected state and federal representatives to urge them to preserve core state and federal support for Cornell and higher education.
The Office of State Government Relations, located only a few blocks from the heart of the New York State (NYS) government in Albany, New York, represents Cornell University to the executive and legislative branches of state government and lobbies to secure state funding for University priorities. Our Annual Legislative Report lists the bills we monitor throughout the year and updates their status.
Our office coordinates an annual Legislative Reception in March, attended by State and University officials and faculty, as well as several Lobby Days that bring students to the State Capital to speak with legislators and key staff on higher education issues. Contact us to learn more about lobbying and upcoming lobby days.
