Government & Community Relations

We need your help!

We need the help of Cornell’s alumni and friends in communicating how proposed legislation would impact Cornell and other institutions of higher education. Please join our Legislative Advocacy Network and contact your elected state and federal representatives to urge them to preserve core state and federal support for Cornell and higher education.

About the Office of Federal Relations

The campus Office of Federal Government Relations and its Washington, D.C., satellite office represent Cornell University's interests to the federal government and educate the Cornell community about relevant federal government actions. In carrying out efforts to promote federal government partnerships with Cornell, we take into consideration the priorities and initiatives of the University and its dedication to the land grant mission.

Our Washington Report provides an overview on Cornell’s partnership with the federal government. Please contact us if additional information is needed.

The Washington office also is available for the use of Cornell University faculty and staff conducting University business in the nation's capital. The federal relations staff will offer support to Cornell representatives who travel to Washington to meet and communicate with members of Congress and other federal officials.
